Dr. Cristina Abadia
Dr. Cristina was born in Bogota, Colombia and raised in Los Angeles County. She has always lived a vey active and outdoor lifestyle, and she feels the happiest and most connected to herself and to God, being outside in nature. From an early age, she gravitated towards anything health related. She began reading books on nutrition, herbs, supplements, exercise, mental health, homeopathy, TCM, and physiology. She innately questioned a lot of the mainstream “health” advice that we commonly hear about. When she went through her own health struggles, and conventional medical treatments failed to get to the root cause, she dove in deeper into the holistic and natural medicine world, and it was there that she found the answers to what causes illness and how to use the body’s innate intellegence to heal. Dr. Cristina believes that no matter what health crisis you are going through, the body knows how to heal, given the right environment. And she believes that having a well regulated nervous system, is paramount and key to the healing process.
Dr. Cristina is Webster certified throught the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), and has extensive training in prenatal and pediatric care, having taken all of the training modules to get the CACCP certification through the ICPA. She has studied under Dr. Monika Buerger in learning abour caring for children with neurosensory and neurodevelopmental challenges. She has also completed all of the modules for the Institute of Functional Medicine, giving her extensive knowledge about a persons unique biochemical structure, and how to use food and lifestyle changes to further assist the body in the healing process.
Dr. Cristina believes in empowering her patients by educating them on what they can be doing on a daily basis to support their health and wellbeing. She is also fluent in spanish, and speaks German as well, she loves being help to connect with you in your own native language.
